Following Foundationseason 3, here's what we know about the show's continuation.
While it's already been a prominent shooting location in previous seasons, others have been used in the past. As for the rest of the cast, it will be interesting to see how the new season handles their characters.
Lee Pace, Laura Birn, and Jared Harris are fan favorites in the series, but their characters Brother Day, Demerzel, and Hari Seldon, all saw seemingly conclusive ends to their stories.
This will not be the case going forward, as Goyer cited the show's production in Europe as the main reason, stating that it forced him to be away from his family for too long. Lou Llobell is the safest assumption for a returning star, as her character, Gaal Dornick, will continue to be the leading protagonist in season 4.
Brother Dusk has taken over as Empire, killing the other Cleon clones, Demerzel, and claiming the throne with the Novacula and the Prime Radiant as his weapons.
Gaal was able to fight the Mule long enough to escape, but she still wasn't powerful enough to defeat Bayta. The series, based on Isaac Asimov's seminal literary series, is one of the best sci-fi shows on TV right now.
Based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels, Apple TV+'s grand-scale sci-fi series has become a major success for the streamer, achieving critical acclaim in its third season.
To adapt Isaac Asimov's full Foundation universe, the show would require multiple seasons and some spinoffs. The mass comeback for Foundation Season 3's ensemble can allow the upcoming run to focus entirely on storytelling rather than trying to write around Asimov's revolving door of characters.
That said, his overall roadmap for Foundation's larger storyline has been handed to his successors.

So, in a way, the author is preserving characters who weren't even technically in his original story, because the clones aren't in the source material.
But for those already in the loop who need a little organization around their summers in front of their TVs, well, you don't need Hari Seldon's equations for that. Instead, it's a direct sequel to Foundation and Empire.
Their credits also include Fear the Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, and The Flash, among other films and TV shows.
Foundation Season 4 Cast Details
Foundation season 4's cast is up in the air after season 3's dramatic climax. Among the biggest cracks lies in Pace's new character Cleon XVIII, who acts completely unbothered by his actually critical position of power.
As it stands, although it's unconfirmed, Bilton, Pace, and Mann are all expected to return for Season 4, playing the exact same characters they were when Season 3 ended.

Similarly, changing the identity of the Mule to Bayta Mallow (Synnøve Karlsen) instead of being Magnifico Giaganticus (Tómas Lemarquis), means the actors behind both characters can return in Season 4.
Foundation Season 3 Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out?
Blessings to Empire.
However, other than a few tweaks and tasteful additions, Foundation has managed to beat the odds and serve as an impressive small-screen translation of the iconic sci-fi novels. Because Season 4 is opening without a time jump, this creative adaptation approach isn't as necessary.
For instance, Terrence Mann's Brother Dusk/Darkness functionally ended the Cleonic Dynasty in the Season 3 finale, leaving just three clone emperors breathing and with no way to create more.
Meanwhile, Gaal (Lou Llobell) and Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) continue working to ensure the longevity and purpose of Foundation. It's currently unknown whether the reduced budget will impact the show's special effects, but the visual quality of Season 3 suggests there won't be much of a problem.
